Two goals in two minutes late in the first half from Said Chiba and Ali El Khattabi effectively killed off any hopes Mozambique had of an upset. Substitute Youssef Fertout scored a third in the 82nd minute just after coming on. The defeat means Mozambique joins Algeria as the two teams knocked out of the tournament. World Cup finalists Morocco will need just one point in their final Group D match against Egypt on Tuesday to make sure of a place in the quarterfinals.
